After finishing high school in her home city, she ventured to Australia for a year and then to Brazil for two and a half years due to her father's business commitments. Her diverse cultural experiences enriched her perspective, laying the groundwork for her future endeavors.
With an innate passion for storytelling and culture, Kayoko carved out a successful career as a documentary filmmaker for the Japanese National Public Television, dedicating seven years to creating content that highlighted various aspects of life and culture. Her commitment to cultural exchange steered her to London, where she served as a culture attaché for the Japanese embassy, further amplifying her role in bridging cultural gaps.
In the early nineties, Kayoko's journey led her to Los Angeles, California, where she continued to weave tales of life through her lens.
